My 2015 in Review - 25 Awesome Weddings

Thank you all for such a great year! I had the incredible opportunity to photograph 25 weddings this year! I am so blown away by the amount of joy, beauty, and love that I have experienced. It has been an honor to be with each of you on one of the most exciting days of your lives. I always leave weddings with gratefulness that I get to do this job for a living. Seeing and capturing love in its purest and tender moments make me adore this job and I couldn't do it without you. So, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. I can't wait to see how God blesses these marriages!

What was your first dance song?

"This I Promise You- Chester See"

How did you feel when you saw each other for the first time on the wedding day?

"Meghan- Oh my! He is smokin' hot and I hope Ashah is capturing his tears. (cause he cried y'all) Luke- Amazed that it was happening. That I get to marry her."

What was the most memorable moment of the day?

"Meghan- I got to watch the entire ceremony from a parked car on the ramp above the park. I saw everyone get seated. I heard the music start to play and that's when it all sank in. This is real.  Luke- anticipating The start of it all. I was ready to get things started when I woke up."

If you could do it all over again, would you change anything? 

"We wouldn't have picked a Sunday. We would have stuck with the traditional Saturday but other than that. Not a thing."

Do you have any advice to other brides & grooms?

 "Meghan- watch your wedding. It was so amazing to see all our planning unfold and I didn't have to hear about it later.  Luke- try to take it all in, it went by so fast."

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

"Montego Bay- Jamaica"

How did y'all meet?

"Facebook- Luke saw my profile pic and was hooked :)"

Bridgeview Barn Wedding - Chelsea + Jimi

"I was in my last semester of nursing school in Warner Robins. Jimi lived in Perry. A friend I graduated with was dating Jimi's best friend who also lived near Perry. She asked me several times to come over, but I was always studying. One morning she asked me again and I randomly had time to put down the books to go visit her and meet her new boyfriend. Little did I know, Jimi would be there. I remember pulling up in the driveway, and when I looked out my rear view mirror I saw a big jacked up truck, which then turned a blinker on and pulled into the same driveway. That was Jimi. It was love at first sight. I told my mom that night, the night I first met him, that he was "the one".  And it's been happily ever after since then! :)"

"When I first made eye contact with Jimi, walking across the bridge with my dad, I instantly felt the greatest happiness and excitement I have ever felt. I saw Jimi wiping tears away and my eyes immediately began to fill with tears of happiness and joy. Right when the tears began to fall, my veil caught on some wood from the bridge and was flying in the wind about to fall in the pond. My attention was turned to focus on catching my veil and putting it back on as fast as I could which distracted me at the perfect timing and stopped me from crying. I will never forget the first time we made eye contact as I was walking down the aisle. My stomach was filled with nothing but butterflies and joy as I knew would soon be united with the love of my life. I was about to spend the rest of my life with my best friend."

"I saw you with your dad when y'all first started walking across the bridge. My heart dropped and I was speechless. You were so beautiful. You were glowing. I couldn't stop tearing up because I was so happy that I was about to marry the love of my life. I felt like the luckiest man in the world to know that I was about to marry you and be able to call you my wife."  - Jimi

Yes, they are twins and I was 100% confused at first!

Y'all are wonderful! Thank you so much for the honor of photographing your wedding!! It was GORGEOUS!

How did you feel when you saw each other for the first time on the wedding day?

"We were so excited that our day was finally here after so long."

What was the most memorable moment of the day?

"My favorite moment was our prayer before the wedding with our family and wedding party. The tears started right then and there!" - Brittney

"My favorite moment was hearing the pastor say Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Watkins for the first time. We've waited a long time to hear that." - Lewis

If you could do it all over again, would you change anything? 

" We wouldn't change anything! At the end of the day we were married and that was all that was really important."

Do you have any advice to other brides & grooms?

"Don't sweat the small stuff!! What's important is each other and your family and friends that came to celebrate with the you. None of the other stuff really matters in the end."

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

"Hawaii"

How did y'all meet?

"We met in a weightlifting class when I (Brittney) was in the tenth grade and he was in the ninth. We've been together ever since =)"
