Luci + Nathan
"The first time we officially met was in the Fall of 2009 in high school. Nathan was a senior and I was a sophomore at FPD. We shared some fun times for a few months and even though we weren't "official" I still like to consider ourselves high school sweethearts."
We were outside doing photos when Luci's dad drove up. The girls surrounded Luci so her dad wouldn't see her until their first look! It was so cute!
What was your first dance song?
"The Way You Look Tonight - Frank Sinatra"
How did you feel when you saw each other for the first time on the wedding day?
"I had butterflies walking down the aisle to meet Nathan at the front of the chapel. I was so nervous but also just as excited!!! I just wanted him to love my dress. I will never forget the look on his face when he turned around. I immediately felt a sense of relief and peace and it was such a sweet time that we got to share together, just me and him."
What was the most memorable moment of the day?
"We loved being able to share a few minutes of that hectic day with just our parents and grandparents. We exchanged letters with each other and we will never forget that time with each one of them. It was nice to be able to relax for a little while before the ceremony began."
If you could do it all over again, would you change anything?
"We wouldn't change one thing. Everything went absoutely perfect and it was one of the best days of our lives!"
Do you have any advice to other brides & grooms?
"Enjoy every second of your wedding day!!! Time flies by and so many things are going on, but take a second and just breathe and be happy.
We took advice from a friend of mine that I would advise couples to do as well. Think about the five senses on your wedding day and remember something throughout the day that goes with each one. I can distinctly remember the hairspray from getting ready that morning and I can taste the squash casserole that we had for dinner. It's really special to have those memories forever."
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
"Cap Cana, Dominican Republic"
