"Mason and Calleigh met Calleigh’s freshman year and Mason’s junior year at Georgia Southern University. In the fall of 2014, Calleigh invited Mason to be her date to her sorority’s formal at the Hyatt Regency on River Street in Savannah, GA. Shortly after Mason decided to take the next step and ask Calleigh to be his girlfriend.
On August 11, 2016 almost two years after they began dating, Mason took Calleigh’s mother, Leigh Anne, and sister, Jessica, out to dinner to The Tavern, a restaurant on Lake Oconee, and asked them if he could ask Calleigh to be his wife. For four months he kept it a secret from her because he knew she has always loved a surprise! He personally designed her a ring that he knew she would love and even hired her favorite photographer, Ashah!
On December 9, 2016 Mason graduated from Georgia Southern. Later that evening, he asked Calleigh to be his wife in front of both of their families (and Ashah :)) on the cobblestones of River Street in front of the Hyatt Regency, where they went on their first date. And obviously, she said “YES!” "
The morning after the proposal, we all went to Huey's for breakfast. It was the perfect end to a perfect weekend.
